A hefty-looking Val Kilmer hits the red carpet for a screening of his new movie, MacGruber, at the Paramount Theater during the South By Southwest Film Festival on Monday (March 15) in Austin, Texas.

“The entire script is kind of designed to ruin my career,” the 50-year-old actor joked during the MacGruber panel.

FYI: Kilmer plays villain Dieter von Cunth, who steals a nuclear warhead from his sworn enemy, MacGruber (Will Forte).

THR says MacGruber is “utterly disposable but diverting.”

Behind every man is a good woman, but behind every band? Maybe not. Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland blames the collapse of Velvet Revolver on the band's significant others and bitter envy.

"Everyone was a rock star," Weiland said in a new interview with Details. "There were petty jealousies. Then the wives got involved with the business of the band, and that was the beginning of the downfall."

"When Velvet Revolver first got together it was great," he added. "We had all been through the same experiences, and it felt like a gang" The band came together when Weiland met bassist Duff McKagan at the gym. He also says he had spent time in rehab with ex-Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum and had previously met the band's guitarist Slash.

As for STP, whose self-titled comeback record is due in May, Weiland says that everyone in the group is clean, at least from the hard stuff. "No one does drugs anymore," he explained, "I still drink ... I can have a scotch and not want to shoot up." Meanwhile, a portion of the band's new single, 'Between the Lines,' can be heard at Below Empty.

The hip-hop heroine stars in the action-packed clip, which includes a helicopter chase and a militaristic jungle scene. Amber Rose and Sean Garrett make cameos, and even Drake stopped by to pay his Young Money cohort a visit.

“It’s gonna be a fucking bomb,” Garrett told Rap-Up.com of the track, which he produced and is featured on. “It’s very, very explosive! The record puts her in the game in a way that says she should’ve been here a long time ago.”

Britney Spears's ex-manager Sam Lutfi has reportedly claimed that the popstar is in regular contact with him

According to Heat, Lutfi - who agreed to a restraining order to stay away from Spears in 2008 - told a friend that the singer wants him to help her.

Lutfi reportedly said: "Britney reached out to me a few weeks ago. She makes contact with me quite frequently. She pleads with me to help her and end the control her dad has over her life.

"She keeps asking me, 'When is this going to end?'. If she's out in public, she will use somebody's phone - sometimes the bodyguard's - to call me."

Syfy Executive Vice President of Development Mark Stern told the Hollywood Reporter that a new space-based series is under consideration.

“We’re looking for other ways to spin off ‘Battlestar’ beyond ‘Caprica,’” Stern said. “That world is so rich. We’re sitting down with (executive producer) Ron Moore and his team. It would not necessarily be a traditional series.”

The Peabody Award winning "Battlestar Galactica" aired between 2003 and 2009. It followed the last remnants of humanity as they were hunted down by the robot race they had created to serve them.

Last week, Rie Rasmussen told the Post that Richardson manipulated young girls into doing nude shoots they'd sooner or later find shameful. This week, another of his subjects comes forward with detailed accounts of what her Terry Richardson experience was like. Jamie Peck writes on The Gloss that she's "not a model, just a vain girl with nice tits who likes to pose for the occasional cheesecake photo." She posed for Richardson when she was 19, and he did not fall into the same category as "all the fine folks I’ve frolicked au naturel for," she writes. "He’s the only one who’s left me feeling like I needed to take two showers."

After meeting Richardson at a party, claims Peck, where she posed for him the first time, she went over to his studio for a second shoot. He made her tea, and then she danced around naked while the Yeah Yeah Yeahs album played on repeat and he took her picture. He asked her to call him Uncle Terry, and she did, so as not to seem like a fun spoiler.

All of that was fine, but the second time Peck went over to his studio for a shoot "was the weird one." And then her post starts reading like a Sex Diary:

Before I could say “whoa, whoa, whoa!” dude was wearing only his tattoos and waggling the biggest dick I’d ever seen dangerously close to my unclothed person (granted, I hadn’t seen very many yet). “Why don’t you take some pictures of me?” he asked. Um, sure.

So his assistants took pictures of me taking pictures of him. All the while, he was dropping names like they were hot, casually mentioning his upcoming Miu Miu shoot with Maggie Gyllenhall [sic] and Billy Crudup, wondering aloud if he could get the kid from Elephant to model, and suggesting I come upstate with him and his fab celebufriends. I wish I could say this didn’t impress me, but I was fucking 19 and nerdy as hell, okay?

Peck alleges that he got her to perform sexual favors and offered her a signed print as payment, which she declined to accept since she "felt so gross about the whole thing." She never went back, but she later heard her picture wound up in Purple, which is edited by Richardson's guy Friday, Olivier Zahm.

Estonian singer Kerli spent the first five minutes of our interviewing anxious about being asked to pick a book. After reading some of the previous posts, she was certain she couldn’t delve as deep or wax as poetic about a literary work as some other musicians. But Kerli went with her gut and it’s fair to say that while"Good Faeries, Bad Faeries" is not a conventional classic, she may be the smartest musician I’ve talked to so far.

This somehow accidentally got deleted: "When your computer’s crashing, it’s a bad fairy crashing your computer." Which is sad because it's one of the best parts of the interview lol.

Wayne Coyne Shows Up on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"

Wayne Coyne: Flaming Lips frontman, fearless freak... and good Samaritan! As the Flaming Lips' Twitter points out, Wayne appeared on the ABC television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" on Sunday night. Though his face-time on the show was quite brief (he only showed up on camera at the very end, cracking a bad "Do You Realize??" pun), Wayne's contribution was valuable. You can watch the full episode here.

If you aren't familiar with "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", be warned: unless you have a heart of stone, it will make you cry. The premise is that in each episode, host Ty Pennington and his gang of designers, contractors, and builders (including the rapper Xzibit!) build a new house for a needy family, with the aid of an army of community volunteers. In Sunday's episode, Wayne Coyne was one of those volunteers, helping construct a new house for his fellow Oklahomans, the Skaggs family. You get to see him walking around with a hard hat on, carrying armloads of sod. (Yes, I am tearing up as I write this.)

Garner is enjoying the success of her latest flick, Valentines day, while she gears up for her next film that she will also be producing. Butter, a comedy, will have her co-starring as an ambitious butter sculptress from the Midwest who goes up against a 12-year-old newbie carver in a local contest.

The film has yet to be cast, but there are talks going on with Jim Carrey and Kate Hudson, according to reports.

There will be a new addition to "the gang" this summer – It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney are expecting their first child in August, the couple's rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

"Rob and I are so excited it's stupid," Olson says in a statement. "The last couple years have been pretty amazing for us and just when we thought things couldn't get any better, the greatest little thing in the world happened! We're totally beside ourselves."

Olson, 34, and McElhenney, 32, married in Sept. 2008 in Malibu, Calif.

FX cult hit It's Always Sunny, which McElhenney created and executive produces, will return for its sixth season in September. Olson most recently appeared in Leap Year as the best friend of Amy Adams.
